Wow!! What a transformation. The front entrance was absolutely beautiful.

2 waterfalls, a fireplace and nice lounge furniture.  I'm ready for a vacation.  We parked in the Pier 39 garage and walked across the bridge (which was convenient) and saw Fog Harbor Fish House.   It looked clean and inviting so we read the menu.  As we were reading the menu the gal working the door asked us "if we had any questions on the menu"?  She then said they specialize in fresh baked sourdough bread and with that line I was hooked.  I'm a sucker for good bread.

We were seated by a window table and just had a very nice experience.  We shared the Ahi Tuna 2 ways and Dungeness crab cakes.  Both appetizers were excellent.  The fresh, hot Sourdough bread was like none that I've ever had.  It really was good.  I think I would go back for that alone.  For our entrees we had Swordfish, Garlic roasted shellfish platter, Grilled Pork chop and a Salmon Club salad.  I tried a bite of all the plates and I would personally order each one again.  We all ate our entire meal.  The service was very good.  Attentive and courteous.  Better than I would expect from Pier 39.  I would definitely go back to Fog Harbor and I now have a place to bring my out of town guests.  I only wish I could have eaten dessert.  If you need a nice, clean restaurant on Pier 39 give this a try.

We had the best food.

Two separate appetizers and entrees just because we wanted to try all of them. Both appetizers were full of flavor and my stake was cooked to perfection. The garlic mash potatoes were the absolute best I've ever had. Nothing felt heavy and the vegetables were also perfectly cooked, flavorable and  crisp. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Our server was also wonderful.
